The women in Pakistan deserve an opportunity to grow and to rise to their true potential. They provide unique opportunity and resource base for the development of any organization if they are appropriately skilled and trained.
K-Electric has initiated Programs that aim to inspire women to understand how the corporate environment works and to give them an understanding on how K-Electric is working in making Karachi and Pakistan an empowered nation.
Under this policy, women professionals can successfully resume their careers through coaching, mentoring, personal development, career revitalization & networking.
The platform has produced a case study to showcase KE’s efforts in promoting gender diversity within the Organization which is published on their official platforms. For this particular case, the World Bank worked closely with Harvard Business School (HBS) to do a series of SAR Gender and Energy Business Case Studies Series that employs a data-driven approach and builds on anecdotal evidence-based studies in the past. This study is a first step towards gathering data to measure impacts for evidence for gender diversity and performance in the energy sector utilities.
The program also helps women grow in the organization to take on more leadership positions by giving them the right support / development, mentorship, and skillsets.
Differently-abled Individuals
KE understands that a differently abled individual is more likely to face hardships in either finding the right job or obtaining his/her status within the workplace.
Therefore, KE provides employment opportunities either through internships or permanent job roles where differently abled individuals can learn and grown. A thorough agenda is in place to facilitate these individuals through mentoring and networking.
