K-Electric Announces Special Measures to Facilitate Polling Stations during Local Bodies Election

No load shed from December 4th evening till December 6th morning: KE Spokesperson

Karachi, December 2, 2015: K-Electric issued a press statement announcing special measures formulated with regards to power supply during local bodies election. The company also announced that no load shed would be conducted in Karachi from evening of 4th December, 2015 till the morning of 6th December, 2015.

According to the press statement, the company has established a special monitoring cell in their regional center at Al Mawa. Deputy Election Commissioner, Syed Nadeem Haider, present at the occasion along with other assistant commissioners of the district visited the monitoring cell to review the arrangements where Muhammad Rashid Hussain, Regional Head, K-Electric briefed the DCs and ACs regarding special measures undertaken during local polls. During the briefing, KE team informed that all sub stations and pole-mounted transformers connected to polling station were finalized and special instructions were issued to the maintenance teams.

The press statement further added that other complaint centers were linked to KE’s central office where complaint of any fault or power supply suspension would be registered and immediate action would be taken to solve the problem. The objective of these measures is to integrate communication with the concerned organizations in a bid to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the polling stations during elections.
