Karachi – July 02, 2018: Repair work at one of K-Electric’s grid stations in Malir, which had developed a fault Monday morning, is currently underway to restore power supply to few affected areas.
Partial supply from the grid has been restored through initial efforts that were begun as soon as fire was extinguished. Affected areas include Shamsi and Alfalah Societies, parts of Malir, Shah Faisal Colony and Green Town. Power supply to the airport remained uninterrupted throughout.
According to KE Spokesperson, “Some feeders have already been brought back online while work is underway to restore remaining feeders. Areas associated with grid are expected to experience load management till complete re-energization of the grid affected by fire.”
