KARACHI, Nov 4: Karachi Electric Supply Company has chalked out a comprehensive program to facilitate commemorative meetings and processions and to support local administration for maintaining law and order during first 10 days of Moharram-ul-Haraam. The program includes exemption of feeders, availability of emergency generators, functioning of four regional control rooms and special transmission and distribution teams to address unexpected faults in high and low tension network.
KESC will exempt the entire city from load shedding on 9th and 10th of Muharram. From first to 8th of Moharram, non-stop electricity would be provided from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM to 250 feeders located in areas highlighted by Ulemas in various meetings with City Administration and lawe enforcement agencies where most of the Majalis and processions would take place.
At 16 major locations emergency generators would also be working to meet unexpected breakdown.
