It is pertinent to note that Ghazdarabad’s transformation into a power theft free and hence load-shed free community has also received international recognition and quoted as a model community by renowned publication Financial Times recently.
To date, over 490,000 lives in 72 communities have been impacted while over 2,400 PMT’s have been converted on ABC through the project. The utility has so far transformed different communities through the installation of ABC, new transformers and low-cost connections. Select areas of Saddar, Lines area, Liaquatabad, Ghazdarabad, Rehmat Chowk, Altaf Town and Keamari are now power theft-free with reduced load-shed and minimal fault ratio which were previously infested with illegal connections and fault ratio was higher.
