Karachi, 24th January 2017: In the first Quarter Final match of the NBP President Cup Football Tournament being held at KPT Stadium, K-Electric Football Club (KEFC) thrashed Karachi United Football Club 4-1 to book the first spot in the Semis.
The first half ended without a goal being scored but K-Electric took control in the second half dominating possession in spells. KEFC took a 2-0 lead in the 65th minute after KE Midfielder Mahmood opened the scoring and newly acquired forward Kaleem Ullah headed in the second. KU’s Noman Dodo scored in the 81st minute to give the side some hope but within a minute, Kaleem Ullah headed in his second of the match and five minutes later, KEFC’s other forward Muhammad Rasool tapped in the fourth after a glorious solo run from K-Electric’s wing-back Noor, finishing the match at 4-1.
K-Electric FC will now play the second semi-final against KRL on the 26th of this month.
