Karachi – January 13, 2017: K-Electric teams managed to re-energize the feeders that tripped due to rain on Friday. Some of the areas experienced partial outage and affected feeders were re-energized immediately. Affected areas included Clifton, Shah Faisal, Malir, Tipu Sultan and Landhi, as well parts of Gulshan e Iqbal.
According to KE Spokesperson, KE’s Rapid Response teams remained alert following prediction of rain and responded swiftly to restore electricity to the affected areas. The KE helpline and ground teams continue to work round the clock to address any localized faults. Systematic investments in systems, operations and processes have aided the power utility in responding to queries with greater efficiency.
Consumers are advised to stay away from any broken wires, electrical poles and transformers. Moreover, customers are requested to inform the utility of any broken wires or complaints by calling on 118 or 021-99000. Queries may also be sent via SMS to 8119 or through KE’s digital platforms.
